Menstrual Health Awareness Talk at Gulabi Girls High School

Areawise and Manipal Hospital’s Neighbourhood Connect organised another Health Awareness session. This time, at the Karnataka State Council for Child Welfare. Sharing awareness on Ovarian Cancer and High Risk Pregnancies, Dr Sasikumari M presented to a group of young women 17yr-35yrs.

Dr Aishwarya (Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Manipal Hospital) gave an awareness talk to a group of more than 300 students. The question answer session was very well received as one hour wasn’t enough! The principal has asked us to coordinate more such sessions, including one on Mental Health.

We had a very successful Health and Eye Check Camp at Gulabi Girls High School last weekend! It was insightful. Approx 25% of the 60 students have a problem with eyesight, most of whom didn’t even know! We are collecting eye glass frames if anyone would like to donate.
